Backtalk is a series of print and sculptural works examining text in public and public-private areas. What do we mean to communicate and who is the intended audience? Who might ‘overhear’ and how does intervention to the original text alter its impact and meaning?
Some text is captured photographically and recontextualised, and some text is recreated from the artist’s memory.
